We are now very proud to present our further development of the Climabalance ®- our new Clima Balance 2.0 ® – Fits for All.
The proven concept of integrated climate zones, which relies on natural thermals and removes excess heat and moisture to create a continuously optimal sleeping climate, has been expanded! The previous design only allowed a certain exchange of heat, air and moisture, mainly determined by the size and geometry of the ventilation openings. In contrast, the new Clima Balance 2.0 ® technology offers a variable solution! The ventilation openings can be opened or closed within seconds by simply turning the duvet upside down. This effect is achieved by the physical falling effect. This effect has also been demonstrably confirmed by tests carried out by the Hohenstein Institute1. The summer and winter sides of the Clima Balance 2.0 ® were tested in comparison to a conventional baffle box duvet in warmth class 3 (warm). According to the Hohenstein Institute 1 tests, the summer side of the duvet corresponds to thermal class 1, while the winter side of the Clima Balance 2.0 ® corresponds to thermal class 3.
The thermal insulation on the winter side of the Clima Balance 2.0 ® down duvet is almost identical to the conventional baffle box duvet of the same design. The relative differences are mainly in breathability and moisture regulation, which are around 13 % higher in the Clima Balance 2.0 ®. The summer side of the Clima Balance 2.0 ®, on the other hand, is ideal for warmer days due to its lower thermal insulation. Compared to the conventional baffle box duvet of the same design, breathability is around 40 % higher and moisture regulation is around 22 % higher.
The unique snugness of the duvet gives the sleeper an immediate feeling of security. This snugness is achieved by the 3-dimensional construction which interrupts the surface tension so that the duvet can optimally nestle around the body.
